These guys are one of the first death metal bands and who some people consider to be the origionaters of the genre ( hence the name Death ). I like all of there stuff and I know that virus on dope is a fan. Its too bad that Chuck had to pass away at such a younge age, for who knows what he could have done if he had a longer time on this world.

With Death I came in touch with extreme metal and I think this was also the reason why I started to play drums. Look at the drummers of Death, they are all in our favorite lists. Check out Chuck´s other Band "Control Denied"!!! I only can say "Let the metal flow!"

actually, what i meant was i HAVE listened to them and every band i have been a part of - we've all found it really hard to see just what was so very special about Death - however again, if people have fond associations with them or they were really revolutionary or whatever.....by what i say i do not mean to deny them credit or anything and yes i would agree that Chuck's Schuldiner's own death (and the how) was truly a terror

I don't want to sound like an asshole or anything, but if you can't see what was so special about Death, then why even listen to music?

And you're a total stranger to those. ;D stop wasting space here. Death's influence must have been enormous judging by the sheer numbers who turned up turned up to his tribute gigs i went to. Anyone want to aid their cause rather than talk crap and suggest to me their strongest album? I only questioned whether Death suddenly had some new attention because of the tragedy of Chuck's own death - im not meaning to belittle his dying, but posthumous over-zealous appreciation has always been seen (look at Kurt Kobain for one) - and as i had had yet to be really stirred by some Death, i suspected there may be some of this. If one of the good EMD forum'ers will recommend to me 'this album' or 'that one', much obliged.
