Isn't he purdy! Yeah that's the guy who was there when I saw them with Nile a year or somewhat ago. Unfortunately, at the time it didn't really occur to me to even think of trying to get a close up of what was going on behind the kit, so I just sat back and watched. You know, I really don't remember them being that fast live. He's probably playing with himself behind the kit and theres a hamster wheel with a drumstick on it operated by a cracked out vermin of some sort... now THAT'D be somethin! Shit, I might even pay a few bucks to see that!

does anyone else think that he sits very high? and also sets up everything very low? i find it incredibly hard to play singles sitting high - all upper leg. If i sit lower, it seems to play itself? heh
and lose the damn masks, lol

Yeah really, it doesn't seem like it'd even be an easy task to pull off.. playing with that mask on, I wonder if it's ever shifted around while he's played and he lost his eyeholes.... "wait! everyone hold on! we must stop the show so the drummer can re-adjust himself!"

ah good. everyone needs a gimmicks but that is a damn stupid one (nevermind being not even that unusual in the more mainstream metal scene...) still id like to know how he plays those blasts - is it doubles on the hands, and he somehow plays inbetween each double? i mean, if those are singles, does he really just tense all his wrist and arm, etc?

no, infact there is no wrist or arm involved. He uses his fingers. He balances the stick with his thumb and index finger and uses the rest to throw the stick at the head.

I think that's actually how most one handed rolls are performed.

I ordered the "Berzerker Pack" from Earache the other day, so I'll be sitting through it soon enough.

What's the difference between masks and Corpse Paint and leather spiked outfites? Leave the guys alone... As long as the talents their we know they aren't riding on their 'gimmick'.

I just finished the DVD and I must say it is incredible.
It really goes in depth into the recording process, and the way they speak in the interviews and what not, it feels like they are speaking directly to any musicians and engineers who might be watching. They tell all what gear they use, what settings, tunings, how the masks were made and why, and how the drums were done for each album...and of course the rehearsal and live bits were awesome.
Gary (the drummer) uses Eliminators by the way.
I definitely recommend this to anyone who has an interest in them.

I hate this band. Their music sounds like shit. Wtf is with their masks too?
