NOT AT ALL! from what ive gathered he just shows you the heel-toe technique. Also the videos are full of adverts and things so i dont think theres much playing. I dont acctually own the video but ive seen the question on other forums so im just going from those posts.

I actually purchased the "Ballistic Bass Drum System" about 3 years ago. I found it very helpful in learning what is basically the heel-toe motion. He gave some great tips in order to develop the technique and also some useful tips on pedal adjustments. His exercises and grooves are cool especially the ones combining singles and doubles. He also have some great stuff that has to do with mental training in order to make your practicing more efficient. HOWEVER, I think the whole thing was a tad bit of a rip off! I don't think it's worth all that money even though the system is really helpful and works really good. It's basically just learning the "heel-toe" motion and how to apply it and get the most out of it.

Hello extreme drummers. This is Tim Waterson Ballistic joe is a great marketer. NO video is worth the price he is asking. The WFD has FREE clips on their site www.worldsfastestdrummer.com from my bassdrum techniques dvd and you should be able to get the idea just by watching the clips. if you still need help they sell it for around $20.00 not 200.00 Yikes!!!! Part of the reason the WFD did the dvd is, drummers needed a video to help them with their technique but didn't cost you your first born child.LOL! Heel toe comes from tap dancing and joe did not invent it as he was not around in the early 20's ans 30's Freddie Gruber told me he was teaching drummers this in the 50's as well. There is nothing ballistic about the heel toe method it comes from tap dancing it is not a secret and is the easiest way to increase your speed. Hope this helps good luck and God Bless! The even sounds on both hits comes from practicing. A solid and fluid motion at the same velicity and power should be coming from both feet at the precise time in order to get the even hits....... I don't know why you keep asking when all the answers are the same, lol.

Oh, I'm sure he does. But it doesn't take 20 years of practice and studying to figure out what you need to do. Instead of questioning everything about the technique, which is what you're use to, just jump on your throne and test it out

Satirya Try making the toe stroke a little bit louder as the heel having more weight behind it will be louder naturally. heel toe normally sound like a shuffle when played with one foot so try and even out the notes. The Vruks www.vrukpedal.com are the best way to get an even sound using heel toe as when the vruk spring collapses it pulls the beater away from the head for the next note. Vuk has video of me demoing the vruks at his site. When you alternate from heel to toe using the vruks the notes sound like a cleaner roll. Hope this helps and God Bless! Something I found when doing heel toe - if one foot [generally the left, as it is a little weaker] sounds quieter/worse than the other, yet you think you're doing it okay, try rearrranging the towels [or whatever] in your bass drum(s), because sometimes the position of the towels affects the sound detrimentally. And btw - I learnt how to do heel toe soley from Rich Ketner on breaksticks.com (which no longer seems to exist ) for free. No Joe Stronsick for me!
